Location – Your restaurant on the market square
It is not difficult to find our cosy courtyard. Close to the market square we offer delicious Thuringian food with regional ingredients and a wine bar with selected drops.
Our restaurant is located in the time-honoured Schallerschen Hof and invites you to linger. Next to Goethe’s residence, a beautiful house on the Frauenplan. The inner courtyard can be entered through a pretty archway, which opens the way to the Erbenhof restaurant on the left and the Hotel am Frauenplan on the right. Pass through it and the inner courtyard of the Erbenhof Restaurant welcomes you. Under large sunshades or open skies, the airy courtyard offers plenty of space with smaller and larger table groups.

The former Berstoff Palace was built as early as the 18th century. Today, the three-winged U-shaped palace and the new Bauhaus-style building surround the seated inner courtyard. The discreet beige tones of the walls radiate calm and serenity and invite you to linger. Choose your favourite spot in the picturesque setting.
To the north, the corners of the Bernschorff Palace are closed off by two turrets. To the south is a modern extension of the Hotel Frauenplan in Bauhaus style. A chic mixture of modern and historical architecture, which form a homogeneous outer appearance.
The interior
If you decide to sit inside, you will be greeted by modern elegance. With a contrast of light and warm colours, the large bent yet open space looks cosy and elegant at the same time. Various options for seating are offered. Choose your preferred seat in the Erbenhof restaurant here. Classically at a table for 2 or 4, relaxed on the bench or in a stool, or would you prefer to sit at the bar?
